Format and Tournament Rules

Shotgun start at 9:00 AM

Arrival Time: No later 8:40 AM

Driving range and one free bucket of balls will be available to each golfer prior to their tee time.

Golf Bag Assistance: Regular course assistance, but Hillgrove dads will be around to help get them to your cart when necessary.

At Check-In: Purchased items can be picked up during check-in. Additional items available for purchase at check-in include raffle tickets, Mulligan tickets, putting contest tickets, logo golf hats, and other Hillgrove baseball/softball items (tumblers, car magnets, etc.).

Complimentary Breakfast and Refreshments: Refreshments for your enjoyment between holes 4 & 8 and 6 & 13 and at the putting green.

Tournament Rules and Format: A copy of these rules will be placed in every golf cart for your reference. A scramble means that all team members tee off on each hole and then select the best ball. This format is followed until the hole is complete. Each team must use at least 1 tee shot from each player per 9 holes. Men tee off from the white tees and women tee off from the red tees. Threesomes are permitted to rotate a fourth shot from each ball location. With three players, the fourth shot should rotate among the three players equally and no person can hit the 4th shot consecutively. If the ball you choose to play is in a hazard (sand, water, etc.), the rough, or out of bounds, you cannot drop the ball outside of the hazard or rough even if relief is within one club length away. To manage the pace of play, no team can score more than a double bogey. If you are putting for double bogey, pick up and take a double bogey for that hole. String: 5 foot sections of string available online and onsite for purchase. String can be used to extend any shot on the course. String can be a way for a foursome to escape a hazard or sink a putt. All foursomes can purchase additional string for a fee of $25 for 5 feet of string. Hillgrove parents or players will have string at stations throughout the course for purchase (cash only). Mulligan: Mulligan tickets available online and onsite for purchase. A Mulligan ticket can be used for allowing the player a 2nd shot from the same spot to replace the original shot taken. The Mulligan ticket also doubles as a raffle ticket for the prize drawing.

Contests —

Closest to the Pin: Hole # - All golfers are automatically entered to win. Prize awarded to winner at lunch after the tournament.

Longest Drive: Hole # - All golfers are automatically entered to win. Prize for both men’s and women’s longest drive.

Putting Contest: Any golfer can participate in the putting contest. Each putt is $5 with tickets available online and onsite for purchase. In the event of a tie, a putt-off will be held at the end of the golf tournament. To win, you must sink the putt. Proceeds from the putting ticket purchases will be split 50/50.

End of Tournament Raffle: Raffle tickets available online and onsite for purchase. Each ticket can be entered for a specific item. A selection of 10+ raffle packages/items ranging from $50-$150 will be available. Raffle prize drawing will be held during lunch. You MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!

Tournament Winners: Prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place teams. An update will be posted as soon as the prizes have been determined.
